It is consistently good. The quality is always the same- GOOD. You can experience the same bite of food every time you go. The catfish is thick and buttery. Shrimps are plump and fresh. The gumbo comes with a fried grits. The bread pudding was yummy. And the chef has new items weekly. Today, Voodoo Fish with Creole sauce. Quite good. They have pasta, margaritas, and COKE products. Unassuming find!! My son tried catfish for the first time and loved it. He also ordered a lb of shrimp. 🤣 I had the crawfish étouffée - delicious. Husband had the mahi sandwich and he said it was better than what we get in Florida. I would come back for all of it— especially the hush puppies and garlic bread. I am so happy we found this authentic and quality Cajun seafood place!

The chef and owner took our order and easily answered my questions regarding food allergies. He was incredibly nice and checked on us through the meal. We ordered the shrimp gumbo over fried grits (amazing. I was immediately transported back to my grandfather's kitchen) and the tricky fish. The restaurant is tucked in behind the sonic so don't miss it!

For those who live in McKinney, your visit mandatory especially if you value delicious Seafood at a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is open seating and walk up service where you place your order at the counter. The menu is overhead at the counter for easy visibility and they have a cooler with crispy ice, cold beers and even Mexican Coca-Cola. The music is always on point, today they were featuring fabulous soul music which plays along into their Nola inspired decor. Now, When I tell you, the food is heaven sent you must understand that I mean, HEAVEN SENT 🤤 This Cajun seafood restaurant truly reflects the unique and special flavors that make New Orleans seafood, exactly what it is irreplaceable! It is clear that the owner of this restaurant takes his food seriously and that they have mastered the craft of Cajun style cooking offering the classics like jambalaya and shrimp étouffée as well as Mexican twists like their incredibly refreshing and tasty shrimp cocktail! My personal favorites on the menu will hands-down, every time be any kind of blackened fish with the garlic butter sauce on the side and the included sides, which are red beans and rice perfectly season

I was skeptical when I pulled up to this place because it’s in an outdoor strip mall tucked behind Sonic. Plus there was only 1 couple at the restaurant. But the online reviews were really good and I had a taste for fried catfish. There was a picture of Miquel’s Favorite on the menu board that looked so good. It was grilled but I went for it. OMG! It didn’t disappoint and was so delicious with a little Cajun kick!! I’m glad I ordered what I did and WILL be back. Highly recommend this place. Extremely casual atmosphere. Food, margarita, and service is wonderful!!
